On March 22, the Oklahoma City Thunder went up against the Houston Rockets. The Rockets are doing bad this season compared to their last season. The Thunder are third place in the Western Confrence and the Rockets are eight place. Everyone knew that the Thunder were going to beat them, but the Rockets put up a good fight. The Rockets are led by star shooting guard, James Harden. He is second in the amount of points per game with 28.5. Right behind him is Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, scoring 28 points per game. The Thunder have Russel Westbrook aswell as Kevin Durant. Russel Westbrook won the 2015 and 16 All-Star Game MVP. He is considered as one of the top point guards in the league.
In the first quarter the Oklahoma City Thunder took an early lead, 28-27. By the end of the second quarter the Rockets outscores the Thunder 29-27. The score was now 56-55, the Rockets leading. At the end of the third quarter the Thunder outscored the Rockets again, 23-21. The score was 78-77. The Rockets were putting up an amazing fight going into the final quarter. In the fourth quarter the Thunder came up clutch and scored 33 points and allowing the Rockets to score 30. The final score was 111-107, the Thunder won.
Now for stats. James Harden led all scorers in the game with 24 points. He also had 16 assists and 7 rebounds. Behind him was Kevin Durant. He scored 23 points, had 4 assists, and 7 rebounds. Dwight Howard led the game in rebounds with 13. He also contributed 16 points. Russel Westbrook had a triple-double with points, rebounds, and assists. He had 21 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds. The Thunder also had Dion Waiters and Enes Kanter contirbute points off the bench. Dion Waiters scored 17 points and Enes Kanter had 10 points. Both of the teams had played great, but the Thunder went big in the final quarter to win this game.
